A Taste of the Provinces in Mere Green
The eagerly-anticipated French restaurant Bistrot Pierre has opened to a bumper month of bookings, following a successful event to officially launch the new restaurant in Mulberry Walk, Sutton Coldfield.
Bistrot Pierre opened its doors on Friday (24 March) following an investment of almost £1 million, creating 35 jobs. The bistrot will be serving a selection of French favourites, including steak frites and boeuf bourguignon maison.
Co-owner, John Whitehead – who set up the business more than 20 years ago with school friend, Rob Beacham – said:
“We’re delighted to have welcomed so many guests to our launch event and we’re overwhelmed by the positive reception people in the area have kindly given us.
“We’ve already secured solid bookings for our first month, with new and returning customers visiting to sample our seasonally updated menus and fantastic selection of French wines,” added John.”
The group also launched its Mon Pierre app this year which rewards customers through collecting points at each visit. These points can be redeemed for a selection of rewards.
“As the restaurant industry continues to adapt to the modern market we’re delighted that our new app has gone down so well with our customers – with rewards such as a free one course lunch when you download the app.
“Our fifteenth site opened in Birmingham last year so we know our food is popular in the West Midlands and we fully understand the market. The economy in the region is booming at the moment – with millions being invested in the Sutton Coldfield – so we’re happy to be supporting this.
“We can’t wait to welcome diners to the bistrot and embark on another exciting venture in the West Midlands.”
All dishes are freshly prepared by the restaurant’s talented chefs, using a mix of artisan produce and carefully sourced ingredients.
