Santa Comes To Town

Thursday, November 25th, 2010

The Sutton Coldfield Christmas Lights will be switched on this evening, Thursday November 25, by no less than Santa himself and, just to ensure that he feels at home, the town centre is being transformed into Lapland.

The festivities start at 5 o’clock and will include face-painting, local performers and magicians performing in the Mall. Jazz band the Jazz Pzazz will be joining in at 6:15pm to swing things along prior to the big fella’s arrival to switch on the lights at 6:30pm. As it has been almost a year since his last visit to the town centre, Santa will be accompanied by presenters from Smooth Radio.

Santa’s arrival always adds a magical air to both The Mall and the town centre, and we look forward to playing our part in celebrating the start of the festive season here in Sutton Coldfield.
Andy Jackson, General Manager, The Mall Sutton Coldfield.

Furthermore, If seeing the man in red inspires you to do some gift shopping you will be pleased to know that the shops will be open until 8pm.
