Club News: Erdington Court continue their strong start to the outdoor season

At home again last weekend – this time to Charford (Bromsgrove) – Erdington Court won 83 v 67.

Winning rink for Erdington Court was Michelle Blakey, Iain Aitken and Peter Yates – all from Sutton Coldfield.

Ray Woods, a spokesman for the Club said,
“This was a really good result against Charford. It was the second winning game at home. The real test will be when we play our first away match – ironically against Charford on 20th May!.”

This weekend (13/14 May) sees back to back home matches on Saturday and Sunday at the Bowling Green Close green – against Tamworth and Bournville.

Meanwhile, one of Erdington Courts top squads has been in winning form in the early rounds of the Birmingham Bowls Association’s top league. Their ‘A’ team led by Sutton Coldfield’s Rob Robinson beat Rowheath by 50:21 and Blossomfield by a much closer 30:26.

In Round 1 of the Bowls England National Two Fours, Erdington Court won 44:36 against Bournville.
