This year’s free weekend of sporting fun will take place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th July at Wyndley Leisure Centre.

The formula established over the last four Sutton Games will remain, so expect enormous amounts of fun with over 60 different sports and activities to try, live music and dance acts, and children’s entertainment.

Sutton Games founder, Dennis Kennedy, says:

“We’re once again delighted to confirm that the Sutton Games will be back over the summer. This will be our fifth event and the planning is well under way. Last year, we estimate that 10,000 local people came to have a go at the 70+ activities on offer, but we think there’s still sports we’ve yet to feature, so we’re hoping to introduce a few new activities this year.

“This year’s event will take place between 12:00 and 17:00 on each day. In addition to activities outside and inside Wyndley, we once again hope to have events running on Powells Pool and Blackroot Pool in Sutton Park. Stay tuned over the coming months for updates.

“Run by volunteers and with all the activities provided by local sports clubs, groups and associations, the Sutton Games is a true community event. It simply aims to give everyone, whether young or old, an opportunity to try their hand at the terrific variety of sports played in and around our Royal town. It’s fun, interactive and – thanks to the Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust and the generosity of a number of local sponsors – completely free.”

Any sports providers or clubs wishing to be involved in the Sutton Games should contact Dennis via dennis@suttongames.co.uk. To find out more, visit www.suttongames.co.uk.
