Exciting New Art Space to Open at ‘BHS’ Sutton Coldfield

West Midlands based artist collective, Direct Art Action is opening a new art space in Sutton Coldfield. The gallery will be housed in the Gracechurch Centre premises previously occupied by BHS.

Direct Art Action show case the work of local, regional and international artists, many of whom work closely with their galleries and studios and they are currently inviting artists to showcase their artwork at their huge new venue in Sutton Coldfield. Artists can submit their work for the October exhibition by contacting Gavin Lawley on either gavlawley@gmail.com or directartaction@gmail.com

The exhibition runs through October, Wednesday to Saturday, 12pm till 5pm with a Halloween Party at the end of the month.

Direct Art Action is historically a grassroots collective supporting degree students and post graduate artists. They work with and represent many established and time served practitioners. Direct Art Action welcomes all artists and public that are interested in artists and their work and continually hold exhibitions for diverse and particular disciplines as well as some commercial practices.

“We are always excited to meet the next amazing talent and provide a platform for audiences to appreciate their work! Direct Art Action currently occupies eight commercial premises and we have converted these into galleries and studios.     Something different for a change. When this has finished, the library should relocate to the first floor and the indoor market should relocate to the ground floor. Then knock down both the red rose centre and the indoor market building.
