‘Monthly’ Craft Market Takes Permanent Fortnightly Reign on the Parade
Sutton Coldfield’s arts and crafts scene is delighted to see Bert and Gert’s take on a fortnightly spot on the Parade.
Bert and Gert’s market, which first joined the Royal town line up as a monthly fixture, has now taken up a more regular position due to high demand.
The artisan favourites bring arts, crafts and food producers from the local area together to showcase their wares, providing locals with everything from homemade jewellery and cards to fabrics, plants, homemade cakes and more.
The family run business which launched in 2012 aims to support, encourage and promote small, local businesses. Since its beginning, the business now hosts over 150 events a year, and with its new regular position in Sutton Coldfield, hopes to continue to work together with local traders and venues to bring new opportunities to the local area.
The market will now appear in Sutton Coldfield every other Saturday.
Jason Wilkes, founder of Bert and Gert’s Markets, comments:
“We are thrilled to be expanding our offer in Sutton Coldfield. The Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID have been a supporter of ours since we started in the town, and we’re really proud to be able to offer even more opportunities to other local small businesses that want an opportunity to sell their work and promote themselves.”
Mike Bushell, Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID manager, comments:
“We are always looking for ways to support local businesses and Bert and Gert’s appearance on a bi-monthly basis is the perfect way to do this.
“We’re delighted they’re able to expand their offering here in Sutton Coldfield and look forward to seeing what delights they bring to the Parade as part of their market!”
