Annual Meeting of Sutton Coldfield Town Council – Trinity Centre 24th May
The Annual Meeting of the Town Council will take place on Wednesday 24th May at 7pm in the Trinity Centre (presentation at 6:55pm).
Before the meeting there will be a public session to enable the people of Royal Sutton Coldfield to ask questions of, and make comments, regarding the Town Council. Questions not answered at this meeting will be answered in writing to the person asking the question, or may appear as an agenda item for the next meeting. Members of the public are asked to identify themselves and to restrict their comments, and/or questions to three minutes.
The Local Audit and Accountability Act 2016 allows both the public and press to take photographs, film and audio record the proceedings and report on all public meeting (including on social media).
Any member of the public wishing to record or film proceedings should let the Chairman of the meeting know prior to, or at the start of, the meeting as it is good practice to notify the public that the meeting is being recorded.

10 Matters Arising
Minute 187 of the Town Council Meeting 28 March 2017
Council is asked to note that the information reported by Steve Hollingworth, Birmingham
City Council at the 28 March 2017 Town Council meeting has now been found to be
inaccurate. However, as the minutes of this meeting have been approved and signed as a
true record of meeting they cannot be altered.
In order to place on public record the correct information, Mr. Hollingworth has written to
the Town Council to confirm the following:-
“The current income from Park businesses does not fully cover the costs of the Park and the
net budget costs to BCC after business income to run the Park is £230,317.
However, in addition to the business income, the Park, is currently in receipt of a grant from
Natural England of £96k per annum and therefore taking into account the grant income, the
net cost of the Park is currently £134,317.”
Mr. Hollingworth apologised for the inaccuracy of the estimated figure reported at the
28 March 2017 meeting and requested that the figures provided above be recorded at the 24
May Town Council meeting.
11 Exclusion of the Press and Public
Due to the confidential nature of the business of item 18 under the Public Bodies (Admission
to Meetings) Act 1960 s3, it is likely a motion will be proposed to exclude members of the
public and press during discussion of this item.
