Sutton Coldfield organisations encouraged to sign up to Expo 2014
Royal Sutton Coldfield is to see the return of the hugely popular Expo, an event geared around acquainting local people, employees and visitors with businesses and organisations in the area.
The Expo has seen the number of marquees being booked out increase every year, with over 30 taking part in 2013. Now organisers of the event are encouraging Sutton Coldfield-based businesses, charities, community groups, and sports clubs to secure their place for this year’s event, taking place on the Parade on Saturday 27 September.
The event, which will run from 9am-5pm, will provide local organisations with the chance to put themselves in the spotlight and promote what they do. Members of the public are invited to attend the free event and learn more about the variety of things to do and support in their town.
Mike Bushell, Sutton Coldfield Town Centre BID manager, comments: “The Expo has grown in popularity every year, and this is testament to just how valuable it is for our town centre. There are so many brilliant businesses, charities and groups in the town, but they don’t always have the opportunity to engage with Sutton residents, workers and visitors – the Expo provides them with the perfect way to do just that.
“2013’s event saw the Parade transformed into a hive of activity, and we’re excited to recreate this buzz. We’d encourage anyone that would like to book a marquee to get in touch as soon as possible, to avoid disappointment. A number of businesses and groups have already signed up, and we look forward to welcoming more. We were close to full capacity last year, and anticipate this year will only be more popular.”
